  • Trading posts — Arts and crafts from across the Southwest include Hopi Kachinas, Navajo and Apache baskets, pottery from the New Mexico Pueblos, Navajo rugs, and southwestern jewelry. Several of the area's trading posts have been owned by the same family for generations, gaining a reputation for honesty, fairness, and detailed knowledge of the items they sell.

  • Galleries — Several galleries carry the work of famous artists in the Southwest. Original paintings, limited-edition prints, sculptures, ceramics, weavings, and jewelry are all on display. Mesa Verde Country® is home to two pottery factories where Native American artists design, carve, and paint intricate pieces of pottery.
