Golf in Mesa Verde Country®

Cortez is home to the Conquistador Golf Course, a professional quality, par 72, 18 hole, 6,852 yard public course. The course sits at 6,200 feet, with spectacular views of Mesa Verde, the La Plata Mountains, and the Sleeping Ute Mountain. A full service pro shop, driving range, putting green and golf cart rentals are available. LOCATION The Conquistador Golf Course is located in northeast Cortez off Highway 145 at 2018 N. Dolores Road. It is officially open from March 1 to November 15, weather permitting. Course opens at 8 a.m. until June 1, and then opens at 7 a.m. Fees are as follows: 9 Holes 18 Holes Adult $11.00 $18.00 Youth, under 17 $6.00 $6.00 Cart Rental (2 people) $12.50 $21.00 TWO-FOR-ONE GOLF PASSES As a special bonus to golfers who stay at Cortez lodging properties, two-for-one passes are available. Passes are accepted by the golf course on weekdays. Passes may also be used on weekends, if space is available, but they may not be used for tournament play. A visitor must stay in a Cortez lodging facility for at least one night in order to receive this two-for-one offer. Passes must be issued and signed by participating Cortez lodging properties.
