Whether you're looking for a once in a lifetime experience working on a real cattle ranch, a horseback ride into our incredible back country or an exciting Old West adventure on a stagecoach, Mesa Verde Country® is the place for you!
RECREATION WITH A REAL WESTERN FLAVOR Grab your cowboy hat and try your hand as a real cowboy. Adventures on a real cattle ranch await you for either a week-long or three-day experience. Depending on the time of year, you will work with calving, branding, trailing, or driving cattle. The Cowboy life is alive and moo-vin' in Mesa Verde Country®. For the tender-foot, one or two hour trail rides are available at local stables and guest ranches. If you're looking for a more extensive horseback adventure, Mesa Verde Country® has outfitters that will take you into our remote backcountry for multiple days of riding and exploration.
